I had booked him a speedboat, but the local operator mistakenly arranged a regular bus ticket instead—maybe even a ferry, I can’t recall. That meant his journey took much longer than expected. He messaged me, asking why it was taking so long. We sorted it out, and that should have been the end of our interaction.
But life had other plans.

After his trip ended and he went back home, he kept talking to me. At first, it was about travel—questions, recommendations, and little conversations about Thailand. But as time passed, the conversations never stopped.
Now, it has been two and a half years.
Two and a half years of talking, sharing, laughing—and waiting. We haven’t met again in person since that first trip. His life and work seem busy, and I respect that. We both have responsibilities, careers, and dreams to fulfill.
But no matter the distance, he has never been far from my heart. Even though he doesn’t always reply right away—sometimes only short answers—he never misses reading my messages. I know this because I see it. And somehow, that means everything.

One day, long after his trip, he sent me a picture of Pad Thai he had cooked. Something so ordinary, right? But when I saw that picture, it felt like my soul was struck by lightning. Until that day comes, I trust divine timing. I believe in the connection that no distance or silence can destroy.
